ICoTA Europe Lunch and Learn - Improving Well Intervention Pressure Control Competency

June 20th 2017

From 11:45 for 12:00, ends by 15:30

Venue: IWCF, Inchbraoch House, Montrose DD10 9UA

This lunch and learn will provide delegates with a “hands on” opportunity to participate in key elements of the practical assessment component of the IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control (WIPC) syllabus.

WIPC competency cannot be demonstrated simply by learning to pass the test. While the WIPC written assessment continues to improve and becomes a fair test of delegate’s knowledge, the practical assessment will enable the delegate to demonstrate their ability to safely avoid a well pressure control event.

Delegates attending this lunch and learn will leave with a better understanding of IWCF initiatives to improve the quality of well control training and assessment.

12pm: Lunch and Networking
12.45pm: Presentations and well kill problem examples followed by Q&A.
2.30pm: Simulator exercises (optional)

Arrive 11.45am for 12pm. Ends at approximately 3.30pm for those staying for the simulator exercises.

The Lunch and Learns provide a forum for sharing case histories, field experience and new technologies.Don’t miss this excellent networking opportunity.
