ICoTA Europe Lunch and Learn: KOLLER’s Compact-E-Drive – a new alternative Wireline Drive System

October 31st 2017

From 11:45 for 12:00, ends by 13:45

Venue: Anderson Anderson Brown, Kingshill View, Kingswells Causeway, Prime Four Business Park, Aberdeen AB15 8PU

The Oil & Gas service industry is currently driven by the requirement to cut operational cost, while at the same time new investments into the digital era are due to be made.

KOLLER has taken this market situation to elaborate what challenge we could take to improve well intervention services.

Consequently, a new concept of electrical wireline drive was identified for development, with the following 4 main design criteria to be targeted:

  • Compact in size, compatible to all existing KOLLER WL-Units
  • Powerful output to allow well intervention and logging services
  • Improved economics through a concept of less maintenance
  • Readiness for future system integration
  • Environmentally friendly

In the presentation, KOLLER will discuss the development process, introduce the result and provide a future outlook on Compact-E-Drive. After the presentation, Mr Stefan Hasselmann and Thomas Müller will be available for further discussions.

Arrive 11.45am for 12pm. Ends at approximately 1.45pm

The Lunch and Learns provide a forum for sharing case histories, field experience and new technologies.Don’t miss this excellent networking opportunity.
