Max Soerenson

Max Sørensen sits with 25 years of well intervention experience,spanning both service companies and major operators. He serves as a Sr.Engineer within Aker BP's D&W Improvement function in Stavanger, Norway.

Appointed to the ICoTA Europe Board of Directors in 2023 andelected Junior Chair in 2025, Max plays a central role in shaping theassociation's strategic direction and advancing professional standards.

Among his proudest contributions are the expansion of theScandinavian Sub-chapter, a formal collaboration with Havtil,(the NorwegianOffshore Authority), and growing the annual conference from a one-day event of146 attendees to a full two-day event expecting 250 participants in 2026,alongside the launch of regular Tech Nights, a Young Professionals section, andthe beloved Annual Dinner, a cherished community celebration.
