Our 2025 Winner - Teddy Mulenga - BP
Teddy's work exemplifies the kind of forward-thinking engineering that will drive our industry's future. Speaking after his win, Teddy commented: “I really didn’t expect to win. This was my last job as an intervention engineer and the most difficult and I wanted to leave on a high. I learnt so much and overcame a lot of unexpected difficulties. Winning this Award has given me a huge confidence boost!”
Presenting at last year's Future of the Well Intervention Industry networking event was a valuable experience for me. As a young engineer, it was a great opportunity to present my work and connect with others in the field. Winning was definitely a highlight of my year. It gave me a real sense of encouragement and recognition at this stage in my career.
Beyond the win itself, the event provided a chance to meet some interesting people and gain valuable experience presenting, my first time doing so in a professional capacity.
For any young professionals thinking about entering this year, I'd say it's definitely worth going for. It's a chance to share what you've been working on, get feedback, build connections and develop your confidence. Regardless of the outcome, it's a good opportunity to put yourself out there and learn from the experience and you never know, you may just win!
