How did you get into the coiled tubing/well intervention industry?

I moved into well intervention to gain a broader knowledge of well lifecycle, having originally started my graduate career in Subsea looking after diving/ROV campaigns. I can draw many parallels in the way both disciplines work and felt it was another natural fit for me and have been here since.

What does your role on the ICoTA Committee involve?

Currently, I'm the Chair of the EWIC committee for 2026 working with the wider team to deliver the conference in November. I also sit on the YP sub-committee supporting the young professionals of the intervention community through various events promoting intervention and collaboration.

Why did you get involved with ICoTA? What made you decide to give up personal time?

I originally joined the YP committee as a way to connect with fellow YPs and learn about intervention out with my day to day, but I have very much grown into the role of organising and planning events which I hope gives something to both YPs and conference attendees. I get a huge amount out of seeing people enjoy the events we plan which makes it a no brainer to give up my own time and get to know new people.

What's the most exciting things happening in the CT and interventions space right now - where do you see the industry heading?

Right now I think the volume of work ahead of us is the most exciting thing. Intervention over the years has already managed to intervene on the more straight forward or easy targets whereas now we are looking at new ideas and new ways we can intervene on those more challenging wells. It makes each day different and a good challenge!

What's the one thing you wish you'd known earlier in your career? Any advice for someone just starting out?

As someone starting out, I'd just say be curious. There area lot of people with a lot of knowledge who are more than happy to take the time to discuss their technology or operations. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

What's your favourite thing about the ICoTA community?

The people you meet and genuinely get to know and enjoy spending time with.

Outside of work, what are you passionate about? Hobbies, interests, hidden talents

Outside of work I am a keen scuba diver and traveller. At the office, I often get asked "Where are you off to next?" rather than "How are you?"
